Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of Common Assault involving an unknown male and a dog walker.
A male victim was walking his dog along a track beside River Ouse and near Clifton Cricket Club when he was approached by an unknown male with a small black terrier dog off a leash. The dog charged toward the victim's pet but caused no injury. The offender subsequently threw a leash at the victim, striking him in the back, and directed verbal abuse at him. The offender subjected the victim to an unprovoked verbal abuse leaving him in fear of further violence.
Suspect Description: White, British male with shoulder-length, dark hair and approximately 45-50 years old.
